How we work

Trail has always been remote-first. There’s an optional London office where all 15 of us gathered every month.
There are 3 teams - Product, Growth and Customers. You’ll be part of Growth, a mixed-discipline team that experiment to find the best way to acquire new customers and grow revenue.   

What you’ll be doing

As our dedicated Business Development Manager your role will involve:
  • Create leads and conduct research to identify potential prospects.
  • Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications, meeting clients and conducting follow-up communications in order to move opportunities through the sales funnel.
  • Manage data for new and prospective clients in Trail’s CRM tool, ensuring all communications are logged, information is accurate.
  • Identify key buying influencers within these prospects to determine budget and timeline.
  • Conduct a needs analysis and determine pain points to build a solid business case.
  • Work with Trail Account managers  to develop and grow the sales pipeline to consistently meet company goals.
  • Work with the sales & marketing to find scalable approaches to lead generation.

A bit about you

  • You're early in your career with 2+ years experince in sales
  • We value ambition over experience, though relevant hospitality/sales experience is a bonus
  • You're smart, confident and convincing - you know how to win people over, both in writing, in person and by phone
  • You're also honest and treat people well - our reputation precedes us
  • You work hard and will roll up your sleeves to hit targets
  • A problem solver who listens, understand and works creatively towards a solution
  • Interested in technology - you understand how to use process and data to work better
  • Ambition and willingness to learn
